Your local Thai

A small room, a busy kitchen and food people drive back for.

Arundel Thai sits in Arundel Plaza on Napper Road. Inside it's black banquettes, warm rattan lights and a mural of a Thai floating market running the length of the back wall. It's the kind of place people come for a quick lunch special and come back to with the whole family for dinner.

The cooking is the point. Reviewers talk about bold, deep flavours, proper portions and fair prices. One regular who lived in Thailand for six years says it takes her straight back to Bangkok.

Been coming for years? You might still know us by our old name, Amphawa Thai Arundel. Same spot, same kitchen.

Having lived in Thailand for 6 years, I am always on the hunt for a good local Thai. Arundel Thai is all that and more! The flavours are so authentic I'm transported back to Bangkok. My husband and I regularly order Steamed Fish in Thai salad sauce, and I've recently discovered the sweet potato rolls (entree) are absolutely delicious! Whether for a quick lunch, or a nice family dinner, you can't go wrong here!

I always have a wonderful meal every time I’ve been there. Meal - amazing Thai Food. Good price and proper portion. Booking in advance is recommended due to very limit seats. If you seeking Thai food, tastes like authentic, I would suggest here.

I'm a big fan of Thai food. I wanted to try out something I don't usually order. The staff and my friend who is a regular customer of this restaurant recommended me to try pawpaw salads which is a famous salad in Thai food. Also, we ordered my favorite Pad Thai and my friend’s favorite fried rice. Their recommendation was unmistakable! Everything was amazing. The most surprising dish was deep-fried ice cream. It's incredible that sweet ice cream surrounded a crispy and warm dough. It was a surprisingly good combination!
